They were sooo delicious I had to make some for Easter too, they're so cute!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The Valentines cookies:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/B26E1EB1-1553-4AF3-8CAB-06A2AEEB83E1-1578-0000024FD8FF55A8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/B26E1EB1-1553-4AF3-8CAB-06A2AEEB83E1-1578-0000024FD8FF55A8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br /><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><u><span style="color: black;">M&M Cookies</span></u></span></span><br />
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour <br />1 teaspoon baking powder<br />1/2 teaspoon baking soda <br />1/2 teaspoon salt <br />1 1/2 cups sugar<br />
2 oz cream cheese, cut into small pieces <br />6 tablespoons unsalted melted warm butter<br />1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil <br />1 large egg, at room temperature<br />1 tablespoon milk <br />2 teaspoons vanilla extract <br />1-1 1/4 cups M&M's<br />
--------------------------------------------------<br />
Preheat oven to 350 F<br />
<br />
whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. <br /><br />
Combine 1 1/2 cups of sugar and cream cheese in a large bowl. Pour the warm butter over the cream cheese
mixture and whisk to combine, the mixture won't be completely smooth
yet.<br />
Mix in the oil then the egg, milk and vanilla
extract. Mix until smooth. <br /><br />
fold the dry ingredients into
the wet ingredients. When ingredients are almost all combined add 3/4
cup of the M&M's in. Continue mixing until a soft dough
comes together. <br /><br />
Roll dough into balls and place on parchment paper on the baking sheet (parchment isn't necessary, but I like to use it. <br />
<br />
Flatten the dough balls a little with the bottom of a cup. <br /><br />
Bake 10-12 minutes, with 2 minutes remaining quickly pull out and put some M&M's on top, I do about 3 each. This just makes the cookies prettier. Cook remaining 2 mins and pull out when the edges are set. don't wait until they are browned.<br />
<br />Makes about 24 cookies<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
We've been in our home for almost 2 years, in June, and this project has to be one of my very favorite DIYs I've done in the house so far. I made a random, quick Goodwill stop with my brother and found these gems, I was glad he was there to help me lug them to the front to check out while I carried the baby so no one else had the chance to snatch them. $9 bucks each!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I saw them I instantly knew what I wanted to do to them. Paint them white and stain the seat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I sanded the whole chair and then primed with spray paint where I would paint it white. I spray painted it with Rustoleum's Universal White Gloss. The seat is stained in Minwax Dark Mahogany. Now that im writing this I'm realizing I never sealed them and I probably should but they've held up great.</div>

<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1369_zpsbb01dc04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="playdough recipe" border="0" height="408" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1369_zpsbb01dc04.jpg" title="quick and easy recipe for soft homemade play dough" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Kaylie and I are in love with this playdough. It is so soft. It already seems like it doesn't get hard and crusty fast like the playdough from the store. It was so easy and quick to make. You'll have all the ingredients on hand too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 cup flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 teaspoon cream of tarter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/6 cup salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 cup water</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil or canola oil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Food Coloring</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This recipe makes about the same amount of play dough that comes in the yellow cups at the store. We made 3 individual batches of this recipe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Throw all the ingredients plus as much food coloring as you want in a large pot/saucepan. Mix together. Put over medium heat and stir, stir stir. Try and get clumps out, but don't worry about it too much the little clumps will come out when you play with it.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1365_zpsf78d644f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1365_zpsf78d644f.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When it starts to ball up and isn't translucent looking take out of pot and let cool. I just took it out when it looked like the playdough you buy at the store. It took about 2 minutes for mine to look ready, yours may be faster.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1368_zpsfc907afd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1368_zpsfc907afd.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once cooled. PLAY!</div>

<div>
<span style="color: #111111;">I've tried a few potatoes soup recipes since my married dinner making days began. This one I kind of just put together and it turned out be probably my favorite batch I've made!</span></div>
<ul id="zlrecipe-ingredients-list" style="background-color: whitesmoke; border: 0px; font: inherit; list-style: none; margin: 1em; padding: 0px 0px 0px 2.4em; vertical-align: baseline;">

<li class="ingredient" id="zlrecipe-ingredient-4" itemprop="ingredients" style="border: 0px; font: inherit; list-style-type: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #111111;">4 large russet </span><span style="color: #111111; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif;"><span style="line-height: 24px;">potatoes, </span></span><span style="color: #111111;">peeled and cut in 1-inch cubes</span></li>
<li class="ingredient" id="zlrecipe-ingredient-5" itemprop="ingredients" style="border: 0px; color: #111111; font: inherit; list-style-type: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">1/2 pint half and half</li>

</ul>
<div>
<span style="color: #111111;">Peel and cube potatoes and boil for 10 mins. Drain. Mash to your liking, I mashed about 1/2 the potatoes. Let sit in strainer.</span></div>

<div>
<span style="color: #111111;">I actually bought bread bowls for this soup to go in but I forgot about them until the next day, but the soup was really good in the bread bowl!</span></div>

I've learned when you buy a home the decorating process can take a long time. Here's where we're at so far</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1241_zps2221eceb.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1241_zps2221eceb.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Click "read more" for the pictures of our house evolving....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
How the home was decorated by the pervious owners:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_0141_zps65f9e494.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_0141_zps65f9e494.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In the process. We put up the chair rail. Originally I wanted to do wainscoting but the textured walls just won't let that happen unless I want to cover them all up with MDF. Also the painted curtains were tabbed and unlined so the sun shining through made them look splotchy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_2905_zps1900e98a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_2905_zps1900e98a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
evolving... Curtain tabs are gone, a few pillows added, craigslist find coffee table, picture shelf added.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_0989_zps4757dffe.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/IMG_0989_zps4757dffe.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What it looks like now. It's in need of a rug, but I don't want to spend too much, anyone have any ideas of what would look good? I've been really wanting to stencil a rug to put in here. Also, Im dying to get new lamps, i've never been happy with these ones. Im thinking some pretty mercury glass lamps. The side tables painted light yellow...do you think its too much color?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Supplies:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Piece of wood</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Painters tape</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Black paint (spray paint)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
White paint</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
scrapbook paper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
sparkly pipe cleaners</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
hot glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-Start by spray painting the entire piece of wood black (after i made this I realized it would have been easier to paint the whole thing white first, because black is hard to cover up with white paint)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-once dry, tape off a pattern. doesn't need to be perfect, I figured the more imperfect the spookier.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-Paint white where you have marked off</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1251_zpsa518bdd6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1251_zpsa518bdd6.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-Fill in any paint that leaked through</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1252_zps1c23ec99.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1252_zps1c23ec99.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-Trace and cut out letters. I used the top of a bowl for the outside and the bottom of the bowl for the inside of the "O". Then free handed a "B"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
-Intertwine sparkly pipe cleaners to make as long as needed to fit across board</div>

<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/bread2_zpsd365adf9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Amish Friendship bread" border="0" height="400" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/bread2_zpsd365adf9.jpg" title="Amish Friendship Bread. YUM" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">A couple years ago a friend of mine gave me the "starter" for some Amish friendship bread, with a page of instructions. Amish Friend Bread is a sweet and delicious breakfast cake type bread thats kind of like banana bread.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The starter is a cup of batter in a gallon sized ziploc bag that has secret ingredients that they say only the Amish know. (but the internet knows everything and here's a <a href="http://www.momswhothink.com/bread-recipes/amish-friendship-bread.html" target="_blank">link</a> to the recipe for the starter,the instructions on how to make it, and the rest of the recipe). You wait 5 days and add some ingredients then wait 5 more to add the rest of the ingredients then you can make the bread. The 10 day recipe really is fun to do because you get to share it with your friends.</span><br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But, sometimes you just want Amish Friendship Bread like right now, and you just don't know when the starter is going to get back around to you, and then once it does get back to you you'll have to wait the 10 days before you can make it. So, I did some research and found an instant recipe that literally tastes exactly the same as the 10 day one. from <a href="http://marchantmix.blogspot.com/2009/07/quick-amish-friendship-bread.html" target="_blank">Merchant Mix</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This recipe makes two loaves (I usually half this recipe to just make one):</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1 cup vegetable oil<br />1 1/2 cups sugar</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1 tsp vanilla</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">3 large eggs</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1/2 tsp salt</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2 tsp cinnamon</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2 1/2 cups flour</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1 1/4 cup milk</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1/2 tsp baking soda</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1 sm. box vanilla instant pudding</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1 1/2 tsp baking powder</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Preheat oven to 325.<br /><br />Combine oil, sugar, vanilla, eggs, salt and cinnamon in large bowl. Add flour, milk, baking soda, pudding and baking powder. Mix well.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />Grease 2 large loaf pans and sprinkle with a cinnamon sugar mixture, covering sides and bottom. Pour in bread mixture and sprinkle to taste more cinnamon and sugar on top. (the more the better!)</span></div>

I thought that was a lot of fun, to get door bell ditched with treats and then leave treats at two neighboors door's and door bell ditch them. It really kicked off the season and got us excited for Halloween!<br />
With the help of my mom we put together a cuter "you've been booed" sign than the one that was passed around when I was a kid.<br />
<br />
The sign explains it really well but i'll explain it just in case anyone's confused.<br />
<br />
-Start by printing off two copies of the "you've been booed" and two copies of "we've been booed" signs.<br />
-get two treats, could be a basket of halloween treats, something homemade or just a candy bar and leave on the door step of two neighbors.<br />
-tape the "you've been booed" sign to their door. with the "we've been booed" sign behind it, but make sure they can see it so they know there's a paper behind the front one.<br />
-leave the treats at the door, ring the bell, and run!<br />
<br />
Have so much fun!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Save images to desktop open in word and expand it to the size you want then print:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/youvebeenbooed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/youvebeenbooed.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>

<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1093.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="halloween candy holders" border="0" height="308" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1093.jpg" title="" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got the sudden urge to make a halloween craft during naptime the other day; And I wanted to make it RIGHT then. I had a little box that I got from something in the mail. I also had two kleenex boxes. This is what I came up with. I did go out and buy the candle holders to attach to the bottom of them to give them height, and the candy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Supplies:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Construction paper Orange,black,green and white</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
TP for the mummy</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3 candlestick holders. I got mine at Hobby Lobby on their 40% off day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
screws(or something that looks similar to screws)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Candy</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wrap the paper around the box. cut the corners to make it easier to fold over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did this part with the mummy too,with white paper and then just wrapped TP around it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1072.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1072.jpg" width="313" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This part isn't too pretty but it will be hidden by candy. Cut out a square just bigger than the size of the box. Fold in along the sides and tape it to the inside of the box,making the candy holder. This hides the screws on Frankenstein, so when you reach in to grab candy the screws don't scratch you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1079.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="326" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1079.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
cut out the features and glue them on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1107.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1107.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
add candy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1105.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1105.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

At first I thought i would get wood and cut it out with our jigsaw. but this was faster and cheaper,since i'd have to buy wood. But, this project would be a lot more durable and last for years if you used wood instead of cardboard. Either way though I love how it turned out and I am thinking i'm going to hang it o our pantry door to see every time we come in the kitchen!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1068.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="315" src="http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad347/michlg88/DSCN1068.jpg" width="320" /></a><br />

This years she's been talking about how she wants to be "A witch and a wand and a silly nose and a witch hat!" so I guess I need to start working on a witch costume. She does already have a Rapunzel dress up outfit so all we would need is a long blonde wig (even though she already thinks she has rapunzel hair).<br />
<br />
Last year she was a candy corn and I got the idea from <a href="http://www.chicaandjo.com/2010/10/18/candy-corn-costume/">Chica and Jo</a>. Go there for the super easy tutorial.Seriously, everyone we trick or treated to and at my parent's ward trunk-or-treat died over how cute she looked. Even random grown men were like this is the cutest costume ever! it was pretty awesome!!<br />

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 18px;">*This has been pinned on Pinterest over and over as a crock pot recipe, i'm not sure who started that but I just want to be clear for anyone looking for the crockpot recipe that this is made in a wok, not a crock pot :)*</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 18px;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 18px;">This is one of those recipes that you try and your like "this is a new staple in our menu". We first had it when our friends Eric and Cynthia invited us over for dinner. He told us that his favorite dish was Spicy Cashew Chicken from Cheesecake Factory. I had never had it before so I wasn't sure how close the recipe was to C.F. But, he had made up this recipe to match it. When we started eating my husband and I were like "We NEED this recipe". A year or so later we went to Cheesecake factory I decided to try their Cashew Chicken....Eric's recipe blows Cheesecake Factory's out of the water,for real. After making it 100 times i've changed it a little here and there, mostly just the amounts of the ingredients, like i like to add a little more soy sauce than he had originally just because I like more sauce. But, here is my version of his Spicy Cashew Chicken. Try it, I know you'll love it!</span></span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Drain chicken in strainer to get the marinade off as much a possible. <span style="background-color: white; line-height: 18px;">Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Add red pepper flakes to oil,stir a couple times. Add chicken all at once, let sit for a minute or two till golden,then turn chicken. Add garlic to chicken. Cook chicken till golden on all sides and cooked through. drain oil if there is still an excessive amount. Add cashews. Move wok off hot stove and immediately pour in sauce while constantly turning chicken over to cover everything in sauce. Sauce should thicken quite a bit, if you want it thicker put it back on medium heat for about 5-10 seconds, and stir, stir, stir. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and add sliced green onions. Serve over Rice. ENJOY!</span></span></div>

So, I took off to hobby lobby to get stuff to make a wreath. I kept grabbing stuff and putting it in my cart as i got ideas and then would take them out and put different things in but in the end I decided to go with fall colored fabric and dark burlap and just decide what to do with it till I got home and this is what I ended up with. It gets me excited for the upcoming holidays!!<br />

<span style="color: #a2c4c9; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The week of her actual birthday we spent in CA (La Jolla and Huntington) on a family trip. We had a fun time going to different beaches, eating out, had a bbq on the beach and just walking around to the different little stores. We had her party at a park in Huntington Beach.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 19px;">
<span style="color: #a2c4c9; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">She LOVED both of her parties and all her presents. She was super Spoiled/loved and got rapunzel dress up, rapunzel and ariel dolls, adorable clothes,couple pairs of new shoes, a play kitchen, coloring books, and her favorite the ($5) minnie mouse camera. </span><br />

<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #87a2a5; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I can’t believe my little girly is 2!!! It seriously is mind boggling how fast time goes. Kaylie and I have a very close relationship, I just pray it always stays that way! She’s such a sweet, silly, adorable, smart little girl!</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #87a2a5; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Utah grandparents came into town a week before her birthday so we decided to have 2 parties. One with them while they were in town and then the second one on her actual birthday while on vacation in California.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #87a2a5; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">She totally looked forward to her birthday this year which was so fun. For about a month before her birthday everyday i’d hear,”A birthday, a bainbow cake, a peasants, kaylie two”.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px; color: #87a2a5; line-height: 30px; margin-bottom: 1.5em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We celebrated her birthday by having her party, going to the Sea Life Aquarium, and then the Diamondback’s game! It was a lot of fun!</span></div>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #87a2a5; font-family: Vollkorn, serif; line-height: 30px;">Blood, sweat, and tears (literally) went into this play kitchen. I knew I wanted to make her a kitchen so in the weeks before her birthday I’d go to goodwill occasionally and keep my eye out for something that would be the right height for her that I could make into a kitchen. I wish I had a before picture but it started out as a plain little brown book case thingy. We moved the middle shelf up a little bit and added the door. I cut the sink hole out with a jigsaw and used a little metal mixing bowl we already had,Added some hinges to the bottom for the oven door and used a tension rod hang up the little curtains where her food and utensils and plates are kept, I got a “J” from the craft store and spray painted it silver and painted on the stove burners. I added the little backsplash and trim to it to give it some pizazz. I was a little intimidated by the felt food at first but it was the easiest thing ever, i just hand stitched it.</span></div>
